Fans of the animated series knew that Archer is not afraid to change plot and storylines from one season to another. According to Enumenical News, the whole gang is going to Hollywood and run a high-class detective agency.
In an interview with The Daily Beast, series creator Adam Reed revealed the reason why the next location for 'Archer' season 7 is set in Hollywood. He said they want to have a "clean break" from the past seasons.
Reed detailed, "They're in L.A. and they've started a detective agency.... Cyril is the owner of the detective agency because in California, to be a licensed private eye you need to have 2,000 hours of detective work or a criminal justice or law degree, so they all have to work under Cyril's shingle, and Cyril gets to flex his authority a little bit-much to Archer's and everybody else's chagrin."
The creator also mentioned that the inspiration for new setting in 'Archer' season 7 is the L.A based film noirs and detective TV shows like "Moonlighting," "Simon & Simon," Magnum," "P.I." and "The Rockford Files."
Hollywood-centric episodes will also enlist some famous names in the city. As cited by CrossMap, 'Archer' season 7 will have more cameos of actors, directors and rich producers. This includes actors like Keegan-Michael Key, J.K. Simmons and Patton Oswalt, who confirmed their appearance. Christian Slater from Mr. Robot also affirmed his comeback in the series.
Aside from those, it was also revealed that tons of new elements are present in 'Archer' season 7. New weapons, cars, offices and sexy wardrobes are going to be seen.
