Resident Evil 7 To Go Back to Horror Roots; Capcom Waits for Perfect Timing?

By

Capcom's supposed Resident Evil 7 may have a rather heavy weight bestowed on its back, since the past installments have somewhat detached itself from the original theme of the series. Because of it, fans have inevitably presumed on what the game may hold, and moreover, what they would want for the title.

According to Day Herald, Resident Evil 7 may be the franchise's chance at salvation, according to many. As soon as the story of Resident Evil 4 started, all the other expansions of the game have relied on the action in order to please the action junkies. Now that the said approach has been established, many fans believe that Capcom should bring back the essence of the original concept that the franchise introduced.

As per NSEA Voice, the most ideal thing that the fans claim would be good is the return of the all-time great villains in the series, such as William Birkin. As the evolution of the villains have continuously went on through time, gamers believe that it would also be a wise move to bring back the declared best villain of the game, Nemesis. To make things a lot more interesting, the plot of the story is expected to take place once more in Raccoon City, where the original outbreak first transpired.

Noted by Vine Report, Resident Evil 7 may simply learn from the flaws that were made since the early going of the fourth title all the way to the sixth. Also, given that the latest Resident Evil project spin-off that will surface, Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps is more towards an action-packed first person shooter infiltration game, many believe that it is the right time for Capcom to reintroduce to the world what Resident Evil is really all about.

No release date has been given yet for Resident Evil 7, nor the full confirmation that the game is indeed in the works. Stay tuned for more updates from Capcom on the anticipated seventh expansion.
