Tekken 7: Fated Retribution Rage Attacks Good or Bad for the Title? Rage Art Comparison Detailed

By

As Tekken 7: Fated Retribution has currently ended its location tests within selected arcades in Japan, fans are now questioning the possible good factors about the game that are expected to make the final cut. Along with it, opinions of the newest attributes may prove to be beneficial if Bandai Namco looks to make the game even more successful.

Noted by Yibada, the vanilla Tekken 7 has made it through the past months with very little flaws to account for, according to some. Being a continued Tekken tradition, an updated follow-up to the original expansion is always in order, and in this case, Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is the answer. Bandai Namco recently held official location tests around the Japanese territories to show the world first-hand what the development team has been doing to the seventh title in the saga.

According to The News Hub, Tekken 7 was programmed with a new feature, namely the Rage Art which is universal to all the characters of the game. In Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, an addition was tossed into the system which is also coherent to the Rage theme, known as the Rage Attack. Both attacks can only be activated once a character reaches a certain point at their health bar to make a comeback, but in comparison to the Rage Art, Rage Attacks are only a specified set of moves that transition to another with a special input, allowing the character to extend a more damaging combo.

As per Christian Today, unlike Rage Arts as well, Rage Attacks are not all equal in damage, which makes the players question the necessity of it at all. Some characters are reported to have a more versatile Rage Attack than the rest, such as that of the reportedly overpowered Devil Jin. Other gamers see the decision of Bandai Namco to be a wise one as it adds more flavor to the game.

Fan feedback is a very important feat for any game's development and as Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is expected to release by summer of 2016, Bandai Namco may still have ample time to make the improvements and balance come forth. Keep posted for more updates on the seventh expansion in the Tekken series.
