"The Newsroom" actress Grace Gummer joins the cast as an FBI agent who will investigate the Evil Corp Hack, and B.D. Wong returns on "Mr. Robot" Season 2 to reprise his role as Whiterose. Also, series creator Sam Esmail revealed some spoilers on what fans should expect in the fallout of Elliot's revelation.

"The Newsroom" alum Grace Gummer has been cast for "Mr. Robot" Season 2 as a series regular. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 29-year-old American actress will be playing the role of Dominique "Dom" DiPierro. Dom happens to be a young FBI field agent who investigates the Evil Corp Hack as featured in the previous season's final episode. She will be using her computer knowledge and skills to search for the fsociety members and find more information about them.

In addition to that, B.D. Wong officially signs in to return to the 2nd installment of the USA Network series. Yibada reported that Wong will reprise his role as Whiterose whose appearance in the finale stirred some questions why he helped Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) with the hacking and everything he does for E Corp.

Other than that, series creator Sam Esmail discussed via Cross Map that the upcoming season will explore the fallout of Elliot's revelation. Esmail stated, "This show has been about Elliot's emotional journey, so Season 2 is about how Elliot reconciles the fact that he's seeing this fantasy. It's going to be about Elliot really negotiating with himself since that's a tough pill to swallow. There will be a lot more backstory that will be shown. The timeline is going to get a little cleaner."

As of now, the official scheduled launch for "Mr. Robot" Season 2 has not been released yet. However, speculations suggest that the series will air around April 2016 exclusively on USA Network.

"Mr. Robot" is an American drama-thriller TV series created by Sam Esmail.
