A blind woman filed a lawsuit against American country musician, Zac Brown after she sustained injuries during his concert. The said woman attended the last year's concert when Zac Brown Band's fans rushed the concert stage.
According to the Toronto Sun, the disabled woman, Karen Perry says the section for the disabled person at Zac Brown Band's concert venue in Fenway Park in Boston, August 2015 concert left her injured. She claims security staff at the venue could not handle the surging fan crowd and began to push forward to the stage.
A security staff injured her as he lifted a metal gate beside her and eventually pushing it into her armpit. She was badly injured that she can longer use her arm. The Wrap reported, fans started to rush after Brown began to reach out his hand to the fans. On the lawsuit filed, it said, the disabled fan suffered, neurological, muscular and orthopedic injuries.
The complaint also said, she "does not have the physical ability to use her arm to hold her white cane, thereby limiting her ability to navigate while walking." Perry is seeking compensation of $75,000 for the damages claiming "negligence/premises liability".
According to her legal documents, Perry said to Brown, "known propensity for going into the crowd" deserved more attention from security. The named representatives for Brown and Live Nation Entertainment in the lawsuit filed in federal court in Massachusetts have not yet given their comment regarding the case.
