Three DLCs for Star Wars Battlefront are planned to be released next month and also, an update is expected to be released that comes with a free multiplayer map for an offline multiplayer game mode which set to arrive later this month.
In a report by iDigital Times, information allegedly leaked from a forum on Star Wars Battlefront mentioned the upcoming DLCs and the first one to arrive is the "Outer Rim" on March 12 with two more game modes and maps as well as new weapons and abilities.
The first and the largest game mode that will be playable on the "outskirts of Sullust" is titled 'Invasion' matching 30 vs. 30 players against each other. The second game mode from the Outer Rim is called 'Scramble' with 12 vs. 12 match. The mode takes place in the passageways below Jabba the Hutt's Palace. Scramble will also introduce game cards that will allow traps to be set on the different areas of the map.
The second DLC is named 'Bespin' and will be available on July 17. Two new heroes will be introduced - Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian. A new game mode called 'Bounty Hunt' will also be introduced where players will take the role of bounty hunters and attempt to find Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker. The third and final DLC is called 'Death Star' which is expected to be released sometime in November, but there is not much information were given about the DLC pack.
More on Star Wars Battlefront news, UK Daily Express revealed that a free multiplayer map is set to arrive later this month and with a prospect of an offline multiplayer game mode. However, the developer has not given much details on this aside from Lead Designer Dennis Brannvall who said on Twitter about the "promising developments."
Star Wars Battlefront is the third main entry in the Star Wars: Battlefront series that was released on November 17, 2015. The game which is running on the Frostbit 3 engine is now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
