Rapper Faked His Own Death?: Arrest Warrant Issued for Timothy "Tim Dog" Blair (Video)

A Desoto County Memphis judge has issued an arrest warrant for Rapper 'Tim Dog' who is supposed to be dead. Esther Pilgrim, a Mississippi native, is claiming that rapper Timothy Blair, better known as "Tim Dog," faked his own death, to swindle her out of $32,000, the Huffington Post reported. "Tim Dog," if alive owes Pilgrim $19,000 in restitution.

Blair pleaded guilty to grand larceny two years ago for defrauding Pilgrim. The two met through an online dating site, and essentially scammed her into think he needed investors to restart his music career. This left her with $32,000 in credit card debt, and a judge ordered him to pay her $19,000 in restitution within the five years of his probation, news reports said. In fact, Pilgrim told WREG, a CBS affiliate in Memphis that he could owe upward of $2 million to other people. She received payment from Blair leading up to his supposed death.

Prosecutor Steven Jubera, who helped to convict Blair in 2011, filed a petition to have Blair's probation revoked and there is a warrant out for his arrest. "I need proof," Juber a said. "I need a death certificate show that he's dead because as far as I'm concerned, he's alive."

"Tim Dog" was born in the Bronx, New York, and rose to fame in 1991. Drew Millard, a journalist, said that "the issue of [his] life or death needs to be resolved as humanly possible in order for both his victims and family to have closure."

Pilgrim added that "in the eyes of the law, until he is proven dead, they have to treat him as if he is alive. And he is in contempt of court because he has not been making his monthly payments. It's not really about the money. This affected me long term - financially, emotionally, physically, everything."

News Channel 3 in Memphis used a private investigator, who found no death records anywhere for Timothy Blair.
