Mass Effect: Andromeda Plot Changes Discussed by Bioware; Is Ryder The Next Lead Character?

By

Mass Effect: Andromeda has become quite a widespread rumor for the past amount of months since it was announced, and more so when the title was confirmed of officially being underway. The trailer has not shown fans much, and even after the much awaited N7 day, the developers have become firm with their silence on the matter.

According to The Bit Bag, some changes are expected to befall the fourth installment within the Mass Effect franchise, especially with the utter spoiler that Commander Shepard will no longer be the game's protagonist. So far, multiple speculations have gone all across the web on what the possible plot will be, and some arguably believe that their theories will be more justifiable than others.

As noted by Alphr, some of the fan theories state that the next lead character of Mass Effect: Andromeda will be an individual named Ryder whose name was allegedly spotted on a dog tag inside the ship. Others make more drastic claims such as the story continuing under the legacy of Shepard's child which others have found profound and unlikely. But the more interesting bit to take note of is the statement that BioWare themselves look to make the fans see clearly.

Express delivered BioWare's take on the matter, saying, "You will play a human, male or female, though that's actually not the character you saw in the trailer. You'll be exploring an all-new galaxy, Andromeda, and piloting the new and improved Mako you saw. And through it all, you will have a new team of adventurers to work with, learn from, fight alongside of, and fall in love with."

No release date has been confirmed for Mass Effect: Andromeda yet but 2016 is the marker year that BioWare for the said title. No other details have been disclosed by the developers, but as of the moment, the information that the world has been given are enough to keep the hype up until it officially releases.
