'Suits' Season 5 airs 'Self-Defense' episode on Feb 17; Harvey challenges Mike to 'a winner takes all' showdown

"My Secret Identity" actor Derek McGrath joins the cast as Donna's father in "Suits" Season 5. Also, USA Network has released the official plot description for episode 17 "Self-Defense" and a recap of what happened in the previous episode is provided here for fans who missed it.

"My Secret Identity" alum Derek McGrath officially joins cast of "Suits" Season 5 and according to Design n Trend, the 64-year-old Canadian actor will be playing the role of Donna Paulsen's (Sarah Rafferty) father. McGrath's casting was revealed by series creator Aaron Korsh during his recent interview about this week's winter premiere.

Korsh explained that Donna's father will be introduced when prosecutor Anita Gibbs (Leslie Hope) interrogates him in one of the remaining episodes of the USA series. Unfortunately, Korsh didn't reveal the exact episode where McGrath's character will debut.

As for the official synopsis of episode 17, Spoilers Guide notes, "Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) wants to represent himself while Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) wants to lead charge. To decide the issue, Harvey challenges Mike to a winner takes all showdown but the prospect of beating one another starts to overshadow their goal to beat Anita Gibbs; Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) attempt to get Sheila Sazs (Rachael Harris) out of the picture comes back to haunt him and Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres)."

For a quick recap of "Suits" Season 5 previous episode 16, TV Muse reported that Harvey and Mike face the oddities as they strategized over Mike's trial case and the long time to go through in order to defeat Anita Gibbs.

"Suits" Season 5 Episode 17 is entitled as "Self-Defense". The forthcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. on USA Network.

"Suits" is an American legal drama TV series created and written by Aaron Korsh.The storyline follows a talented college dropout, Mike Ross, who initially works as a law associate for Harvey Specter who never actually attended law school.
