Huawei is known for its premium-looking smartphones. The GX8 also has the same quality. It comes in an all-metallic case with aluminum bezels on the sides. It sports a 5.5 inch full HD touchscreen display. Under the elegant case is a powerful octa-core Snapdragon 616 chipset that is clocked at 1.2GHz on the lower end and 1.5GHz on the upper end and will be using the Adreno 405 for the graphics as reported by MNR Daily.

The GX8 will come with a 3GB Random Access Memory with a 16GB internal memory upgradeable via external microUSB up to 128GB. It will run on Androids 5.1 Lollipop OS. For the camera, the Huawei GX8 sports a 13-megapixel primary shooter coupled with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, the video can also capture full HD videos with 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second.

All this hardware will be powered by an enormous 3000 mAh non-removable Li-ion battery enough for a whole day of activity. Additional features unique to this device are the fingerprint scanner located below the main camera.

Now that it's inside the US market, the Gx8 will have some stiff competition with the likes of the new Nexus 5X and Moto X Pure. Huawei plans to include the device on their site at GetHuawei.com but as of the moment, fans will have to purchase it via Amazon.
