Tekken 7: Fated Retribution Launching Summer 2016; New Footage Highlights Akuma Skills, New Outfits, Rage Attacks

By

The latest trailer for Tekken 7: Fated Retribution has showed gamers once more a whole lot of promises that will make the seventh expansion of the series a lot more interesting. Bandai Namco has lifted the notch one more time as the latest footage showcases not only the updates to expected, but also an array of new physical overhauls for almost everyone in the roster.

According to Silicon Era, a recent gameplay footage has seemingly teased many fans of the fighting game series with a plethora of content to look out for. The latest video showcased that Tekken 7: Fated Retribution gives almost all of the characters in the lineup a whole new look, some more notable than others.

Devil Jin was given a new white overall armor, Sergei Dragunov a new military coat, Lili Rochefort a different colored dress and most intriguingly for the time being, Hwoarang, having a much darker hair color to go with a redesigned biker outfit and an eye patch.

As reported by Forbes, the recent addition of Street Fighter's Akuma to the roster was already intriguing enough but as the latest video showed the world, Akuma retained his EX attacks and even has a meter for the particular offensive FADC move set. These are all specific for Akuma since he is the only character that will come from Capcom's Street Fighter franchise as a crossover. In another interesting twist, the name indicated for Akuma's character is his that before he was collected by the dark side, namely Gouki.

Noted by Christian Post, another gameplay-related update that was witnessed is the addition of a Rage Attack that triggers once a character reaches a certain degree of low health. In comparison to the recent Rage Art feature, Rage Attacks have a different input which comes from a certain move that transitions to another series of attacks that deal great damage, and sacrifices all of the character's Rage. The previous Rage Art attacks were also updated; some characters having different animations prior to the vanilla Tekken 7.

Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is expected to hit the arcades by 2016's summer. Keep posted for more news on the up and coming continuity to the Tekken franchise.
