Authorities were investigating the bodies of two adult men and one woman whose bodies were found on a rural property in an eastern Kansas, the Associated Press reported. Friends of the residents called police to report a foul site at the site.

"We have three homicides on a very large scene," Sheriff Jeff Richards said at a news conference. Richards did not release details, particularly of the victims' names, nor how they were killed.

Over 40 detectives from various agencies have helped with the investigatio. Olath police are part of the groups, as it is an open missing person case, Olathe Police Sgt. Brad Caldwell said.

On Sunday, Shona Osladil and his friend went to the farm in rural Franklin County near Ottawa in eastern Kansas to check on the owner's pets. When they smelled something foul, they called the police. On Monday, Osladil returned to the farm with two friends because police officers had not found anything.

"'We thought it was sandbags at first,' Shona Osladil said. 'The body was wrapped in a blue tarp. There was a cinder block on top of her head.' Corey Schlotzhauer said a bag of baby clothing was lying near the woman's body. A child's sleeping bag, coat and a bottle and other baby stuff were found in a trash can outside the garage."

Kaylie Bailey was reported missing by her father after she didn't report for work on May 1, 2013, and 30-year-old Andrew Stout was last heard from on April 25, 2013, the Examiner reported.

A Franklin County person of interest has been arrested Kyle Flack, charged with the triple homicide.
