Barbara Knight, Mother of Abducted Girl Michelle, Speaks About Over 10 Year Ordeal for Her Daughter (Video)

The mother of the oldest of the victims found in the Ohio house where three girls were held hostage, and subjugated to torture, rapes and beatings, spoke on Wednesday about finding her daughter alive 12 years after her abduction, New York Post reported.

Barbara Knight, whose daughter Michelle was taken when she was 20, said she was still waiting to talk to her daughter but was "thrilled" with the news, as reported by WKYC in Cleveland.

"I've been crying off and on. I'm just hoping my daughter lets me see her, because I would love to see her," Knight told the station.

Michelle Knight, now 32, escaped with Amanda Berry, 26, and Gina DeJesus, 23 on Wednesday. The three were starved and were repeatedly raped in a basement run by three Hispanic brothers, law-enforcement sources said yesterday.

They were imprisoned in a dilapidated, white-clapboard home with chains mounted to the ceiling for about 10 years, New York Post reported. They escaped on Monday evening.

"All I want to do is hug her and I say 'I love you.' I haven't seen her in so long. I can't wait to see her because she was my daughter and my best friend.
