Apple is about to release its new flagship of iPhone this upcoming fall. The new iPhone 7 is believed to come out with interesting and high technological features that are far from the previous models, according to various patents that the company have filed. Some of its highlights would include force-sensitive 3D touch capabilities, two camera lenses on its back, and a display with full HD.

The Week stated that Apple intends to expand its 3D touch features which would present force-sensitive capabilities. Technically, users can navigate their handsets without even touching them. Hence, this could be done by hovering their fingers over the display and pushing virtual buttons. The feature is possible thanks to the bouncing infrared emitted from LEDs back into the photodiodes. On one note, this feature can improve the device's battery life and saving space. This feature has been filed as a patent called "proximity and multi-touch sensor detection and demodulation."

Another highlight of the 3D touch is the capability of introducing new options depending on the amount of pressure exerted on the home button. This is giving way to the second patent, force-sensitive fingerprint sensing input, Apple Insider noted. According to the report, the company proposes the installation of a mutual capacitance sensor in the architecture directly below a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

In addition, Quartz cited another possible highlight of the new iPhone 7 which is the two camera lenses. The report said that each would serve different purpose such that, the first one would capture only information about the brightness while the other lens would capture only the color information in the scene. Such patent indicates thinner camera hardware.

Of all the aforementioned details, Apple would still need to provide a formal statement regarding the features, specs, and release date of its new flagship. Nonetheless, this patents are things that can arouse the interest of the enthusiasts for future Apple electronic devices.
