"Danny," the man who was carjacked by Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev during their last night on the run two weeks ago, gave his first TV interview, which aired on CBS News on Tuesday evening. He previously told his story to a journalist with the Boston Globe.

"Danny" reportedly pulled over to the side of the ride in his Mercedes when Tamerlan jumped into his car, and then pulled out a gun. He told him that they were the people responsible for twin deadly bombings at the Boston Marathon, and that they killed a police officer. (Reports have said that they were responsible for the murder of MIT officer Sean Collier).

During the harrowing evening, the Tsarnaevs drove to Watertown and back to the Boston area while speaking to each other in Russian. At one point they loaded explosives into the back of his car.

While stopped at a gas station in Cambridge, "Danny" made a daring escape, notifying authorities about the carjacking.

Police were soon engaged in a shootout with the Tsarnaevs in Watertown.
