Lauren Conrad Dognapper? ‘MTV’ Star Faces Lawsuit For Using Dogs’ Photos

By

"The Hills" star Lauren Conrad is being sued for stealing dogs after she used the pictures on her own website. The actress is facing a lawsuit for the offense after she displayed the photos on her site.

TMZ was the first one to report that Conrad was sued by Incredible Features Inc. for stealing two pictures of the athletic pups. The site alleged that the actress didn't walk off with the actual pups, but she slapped them on her website. TMZ added that Conrad used the photos for her brand of clothes website and not merely on a blog. Conrad was branded as a dognapper by the site.

"In the dog eat dog world of online content ... Lauren Conrad, a sophisticated website operator, is cognizant of the value of high-quality photography." IFI said in the lawsuit. Conrad allegedly used the photos for "commercial enterprise through which Conrad shills her Kohl's clothing line amongst other things."

According to the court papers, IFI demands that Conrad take down the pictures from her website. They also want her to pay a certain amount that is equivalent to the profits she earned when she used the pictures of the dogs for her business' site. TMZ revealed that they've reached out to the 30-year-old author, but she has not yet responded.

The news comes after the "Sugar and Spice" star celebrated her birthday on Feb.1. As MTV reported, the "Laguna Beach" actress returned to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with her close friends for her 30th birthday bash. She shared a series of photos on her social media site where she was seen posing with her BFF's.

"Had so much fun saying farewell to my 20's in Mexico," she wrote on her Instagram.

Conrad hasn't commented on the issue yet. If the lawsuit is true, it seems that the fashionista is handling the case well. No subsequent reports came after TMZ released the news on Thursday, Jan. 4.
