Firaxis' XCOM 2 is now officially available but the release of the game is not the only great feat for the fans to be aware of. A new hardware support was announced by Firaxis and Valve which further enhances the gaming experience together with a rather nifty discount.

GameSpot delivered that the continuation to the strategy game marvel by Firaxis, XCOM, is now currently available in some territories. Other than that, it was announced by Valve as well that it will have a so-called native integration with the Steam Controller hardware. The promise of the said controller is simple and was broken down directly by the team themselves.

As per PC Gamer, fans will be able to use a different control scheme which bases on the in-game situation. They will also be able to experience precise and responsive 1:1 camera controls using the touchpads in the Geoscape as well as the Tactical View. Also, it's giving gamers the privilege of instantly selecting their ability through the versatility of the controller's Touch Menus. These are all that have been disclosed for now as both Firaxis and Valve have yet to answer further questions in the near future.

According to Game Rant, apart from the main title, the particular Steam Controller has been bundled together for an irresistible deal of a 40 percent discount. The bundle runs for a limited time only and the discount applies to those that have already pre-ordered XCOM 2 and still look to buy the controller. By individual pricing, the game itself is at $60 on the Steam store, whereas the Steam Controller stands at $50.

XCOM 2 is currently up and running worldwide. Plot-wise, the title is set over two decades into the future after humanity was defeated by an alien invasion, with a movement of rebels trying to reclaim the planet. The game has already been appraised greatly even before the official launch, wherein gamers have a lot more to look forward to as the year advances.
