A well-known Japanese games industry insider has shared dropped a forecast on the upcoming Nintendo NX console launching with a new “Super Smash Bros.” title.

Kantan Games CEO, Dr. Serkan Toto, who has a solid track record for accurate leaks in the video game industry, shared the news on his Twitter feed, saying Bandai Namco is working on a number of NX games, with a “Super Smash Bros.” title readied for the console launch, Games Radar reported.

Toto went on to say his source is reliable, with further news emerging an upgraded version of Wii U and 3DS’ Super Smash Bros. version is due for release.

The upgraded version of a fourth game bundle is likely to include a number of DLC characters, like Bayonetta, which Nintendo has already secured exclusive rights to for its 2016 roster, together other new challengers.

With further rumors spreading the new console will be incorporating a combination home console and handheld system, the upgraded “Super Smash Bros.” title will be bridging the current gap between the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game by including all the maps and modes in a single package, a report from Geek said.

The rumors fit in with Nintendo’s history of rebooting older games for newer platforms, like “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess,” which it launched simultaneously on both Wii and Gamecube consoles.

“Super Smash Bros.,” a kid-friendly fighting game that launched to popular acclaim on the 1996 Nintendo 64 lreleased its fourth title for Wii U and 3DS in 2014, and remains a widely-played game due in part to its depth and technical demands.

Nintendo NX, which was announced in March 2015 as a brand new concept in a gaming platform, is scheduled to be revealed this year at an as-yet-unannounced date, Game Rant said.

While the upcoming console’s specifications are still unknown, it has been reported to carry “industry leading” hardware in both stationary and portable components.
