UFC 2: Boxing Champ Addition of Mike Tyson Confirmed in EA Sports Upcoming Title

By

As UFC 2 is still on the verge of being launched soon, fans are already getting their treats of updates and awesome possibilities that will make the title a lot more admirable than that was known. Now that former WWE Superstar CM Punk has officially been confirmed of being added to the roster, a new legendary face sets foot in The Octagon to get in on the action.

Reported by Mixed Martial Arts News, EA Sports' UFC 2 was confirmed of having updates in the Grappling System within the game. Not only are there updates to the defensive system of the game, but some new and iconic faces have been confirmed of being in the expansion.

According to News, after the recent announcement of former WWE Superstar Phil Brooks, also known as CM Punk of being in the expansive line up of mixed martial artists in the second installment of the UFC franchise, a new icon that is impossible to miss has been confirmed, which is none other than the labelled "baddest man on the planet", Mike Tyson.

The world-famous heavyweight boxer has made his presence felt in a vast number of occasions, such as TV and film and now, he himself notes that he looks forward to being with these martial artists even in the world of electronic gaming. As reported by UFC, Mike Tyson says that he is honored to step in the ring with these athletes and he follows the UFC very closely.

Creative Director Brian Hayes was quoted on the choice, saying, "When you think about the most devastating fighters of all time, Mike Tyson is either around or at the top of everyone's list. It's fun to think that if MMA was as popular back when he was competing as it is today, you might have seen Tyson put on four ounce gloves and step into the Octagon. This is one of those great 'what ifs' that we get to create when making a game like EA SPORTS UFC 2."

EA Sports' UFC 2 is expected to be the franchise's savior after a so-called disastrous first title. With high-profile stars as such, many believe that the claim will indeed come to fruition.
