A man suspect for burglary on two business buildings in Alaska was identified after he locked up his car keys inside his getaway vehicle. With the help of the cab company, who assisted on unlocking the car, the man has been identified.

Yahoo News reported, on the security surveillance camera's video around the area, a man was seen carrying stolen things into the trunk of his getaway car in Jan 6. North Pole Police Chief Steve Dutra said the man is suspected of stealing $6,000 valued items from the laundry and fitness business establishments.

The security camera footage also shows the man moving his car closer so that he can load the stolen items in the car easier. Later on, a cab arrived and shown it helped the man to open his car after he locked his key inside the car.

North Pole police authorities identified the suspect man through the surveillance footage and the taxi cab. According to ABC News, the man is identified as Joseph Michael Barria, 27 years old, a suspect of burglary on a laundry and a fitness business establishment in North Pole, a city 14 miles south of Fairbanks. The cab company provided Barria's contact number and his name.

North Pole Police Department Chief, Steve Dutra also said, "There's pretty good surveillance video there. It covers the entire parking lot and the highway." The said security camera on the area was also used to track on a kidnapping incident before.

Police authorities called Barria's contact number and eventually admitted of stealing things on the said two business buildings. According to News miner, the suspect consented to a search on the car and police recovered around $3,500 worth of tools that are "clearly identifiable" stolen from the laundry.

The stolen items were identified by the owner and had been reclaimed. Prosecutors on Wednesday filed criminal charges of burglary, felony theft and misdemeanor mischief charges.
