Lindsay Lohan Loses Suit Against Pitbull

By

Actress and fashion designer Lindsay Lohan lost a legal battle against rapper and songwriter Pitbull, TMZ reported.

In 2011, Lohan sued Pitbull alleging he used her name in his "Give me Everything" song without her consent, and she had right to gain any profit from it.

A line in the song said, "I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan."

However, a New York federal judge dismissing the allegations, said that the lyrics are protected by the First Amendment, which encompasses freedom of speech and creative expression, reported E!Online.

Following the judgment, Marcos Jimenez said that it will only strengthen the rights of artists to express themselves through songs. He also said that rather being shocked by the allegations Pitbull was "disappointed" after Lohan sued the rapper and is now "pleased" after winning the lawsuit, E!Online reported.

The judge also dismissed the case saying Lohan suffered emotional distress due to Pitbull's rap.
