Microsoft is set to release a Windows 10 enabled smartphone called the Lumia 650. The Redmond, Washington company is rumored to announce the launch on February 1, 2016, via its official blog.

Windows Central has been hot on the trail on the Lumia and has gathered from multiple sources that the February 1 reveal will give not only the device features but also its price and availability. It also noted that this could be the last Lumia for the year as Microsoft will be focusing on the flagship 'Panos phone', which is part of the Surface line set to be released this fall.

Gadgets 360 was able to catch preliminary leaks that revealed what is supposed to be the smartphone's features. It could come in black or white, run Windows 10 Mobile with a 2000mAh battery and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 210 or 212 processor. It could also have 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD card. It may also come with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, with a 5-inch HD touchscreen.

Some other features hinted for the Lumia 650 are dual-sim configurations, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, HD voice, Wi-Fi calling and the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0.

Gadgets 360 was also able to get a hold of a leaked listing (now deleted) from the Czech Republic which a smarthpone distributor priced an unlocked Lumia 650 at CZK 5,491 or approximately US$ 220.

In the advent of the Lumia's impending release, the rumor mill has again been set abuzz when a picture of the Lumia 650 was leaked on the internet. News Independent managed to secure from Evan Blass of @EVleaks what is alleged to be prototype image of the Lumia 650. News Independent further states that the image on the website is that of a prototype that has actually been built, and it does look quite pleasant as compared to previous Lumia devices.

While the features reported are enough to whet the appetite of any Lumia fan, they still have to keep in mind that all these are just rumors and speculations. The actual product at the time of release will always contain slight variations.
