Police charged a man in Raymede Drive, Bestwood with murder in Nottinghamshire. The murder case involves the death of a man named Tony Fisher who was found dead at his home on Coningswath Road on Saturday, January 8.

The BBC News reported, the 41-year old man named Marcus Barton from Raymede Drive, Bestwood has been charged for the murder of the 58 year old man, Tony Fisher on his house. The said man will appear in the city of Nottingham magistrates' court on Monday. Barton was also known with his other name, Marcus Pegg.

A police spokesperson also said, the victim's families have been informed of the development regarding the murder case. "Officers would like to thank members of the public who have helped them during their investigation and are still keen to speak to anyone who knows anything about the incident," Notts TV cited.

Tony Fisher was stabbed to death on his house on a residential street in Carlton, Nottingham. The victim's body was discovered by his son on Saturday afternoon, around 3pm, according to Mirror. Police investigated that Mr. Fisher's death was a case of a botched burglary.

Investigators of the case also revealed that they had began a murder inquiry regarding the death of Mr. Fisher, who was also a popular man in their area and was also a good healthcare worker. They also believe that the burglars eyed the semi-detached property and thought a large sum of money was there. The intruders then entered the premises on Friday night and attacked Fisher with a knife, stabbing the victim to death.

Rob Griffin, the Detective Superintendent of Nottingham Police explains, "We are working on the basis that Tony was targeted not on the basis that he was Tony, but on the hypothesis that those who went into that house did so because they believed there was a substantial amount of money inside."

Tony Fisher worked in Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust for 26 years. Residence of the said area also was completely devastated and shock at the death of their good known neighbor.
