Despite Miley Cyrus' raunchy shenanigans and countless rumored relationships, it seems that her heart still belongs to her ex fiancée, Liam Hemsworth. The duo, who first split in 2013, was spotted sharing a kiss during a Golden Globes party. According to a source who spoke to US Weekly, the pair was even holding hands during the party thrown by CAA at West Hollywood's SoHo House, The Daily Mail reports.
It was also revealed that Cyrus and Hemsworth spent the holidays together in Australia.
"They are in a passionate phase of reconnection," revealed the source, in a post by Seventeen Magazine.
The souce added that the two have been secretly contacting and communicating since April 2015, right after when Cyrus ended her relationship with Patrick Schwarzenegger.
"Before there was a lot of flirtation, but a lot of hesitation. The emotions are really strong, so they were afraid to open the floodgates," added the source. The source then added that the two are "testing the waters" to see if their rekindled romance is worth a shot.
As far as Cyrus' sexy attires and behavior, Hemsworth seemed to even like his ex-girlfriend more. According to The Daily Mail, it proved that Cyrus is serious on expressing herself without minding her critics, and it appealed to Hemsworth.
In a separate report by US Weekly, a source revealed that Cyrus have "always" loved Hemsworth even after they have split.
"She says she's always loved Liam and always will. She never really got over Liam," revealed the source to US Weekly.
The insider added that the reason for the pair's break-up was Hemsworth taking a "step back" to let Cyrus fulfill her experimentation stage.
"He realizes she was growing up and experimenting, he took a step back and gave her time to do that. Miley's always had a special place in his heart," said the source.
