Sarai Sierra, Slain Staten Island Woman Update: Internet Pal Claims He Slept with Mom During Turkey Trip

By

According to published reports, and revealed in the New York Post, the Istanbul Internet pal of Sarai Sierra, the Staten Island woman who was first reported missing, then later killed while on a trip to Turkey, claims he had a tryst with her before her murder. "Taylan K" has been interviewed at length by Istanbul police since her disappearance.

He's admitted he had consensual sex with the married photographer the before she went missing, Turkey's Daily Vatan reported. "Taylan K" is one of 22 people that Turkish police have taken sperm or blood samples from as they continue trying to track her murderer.

The 33-year-old mother of two was found murdered by a single blow to the head near a highway in Istanbul on Feb. 2. While "Taylan K" denies any role in her disappearance or murder, he previously told police that he and Sierra first met in person on January 13, but only as friends. The pair reportedly met online several months ago.

Police indicated that "Taylan K" sent Sierra a message on the day she disappeared, asking to meet at an Istanbul tourist area. The meeting never occurred because she had not responded. US authorities told the New York Post on Tuesday that she kept company with "a criminal element" while on her overseas trip, which began on January 7 to Istanbul, which also included side trips to Amsterdam and Munich.

New York Post has also learned that a tipster has told Istanbul police that Sierra was spotted with a group of rogue hustlers known for harassing women and tourists.

Sierra's casket is scheduled to be flown home on a Turkish Airlines flight on Thursday.
