Michael Fassbender and girlfriend Alicia Vikander looked amazing together during the Golden Globes Awards night. The couple has finally confirmed their relationship that night.
The 38-year-old actor has been rumoured to be dating Vikander for nearly a year now. In the recent Golden Globes Awards night, the two may have just confirmed their relationship already. According to Irish Independent, the couple were spotted looking very loved-up in their table that Sunday night. Fassbender was later on asked about Vikander and his relationship with her. He shared that he was hoping to get a minute with her as they are both flying off to different countries after the event. The two initially met last year while they were filming in Australia for an upcoming movie.
Amidst the rumours of the two of them dating, there were also speculations that they have broken up already. Vikander was allegedly not happy of these break-up rumours and found them rather hurtful. During the after party, the couple were even caught taking selfies near the bar, as reported by People. They were also spotted holding hands as they left the venue that night, confirming indeed their relationship that has only been a rumour for the longest time. Both of them were also nominated for the Golden Globes Award. Fassbender even gushed about how he was very proud of her during the red carpet.
During the awards night, the couple managed to maintain a professional demeanour and didn't display any affection in public, according to Latin Post. Ever since they met on set of "The Light Between the Oceans", the couple have kept their relationship to themselves only and have never really addressed the rumours, until that night. Back in May, they were seen together at the Infiniti Red Bull Racing Energy Station at Monte Carlo, even posed for a picture. They still didn't succumb to any public display of affection at the time.
A year is quite a while already to keep their relationship private, thus they decide to show each other off to the world already. They were very fond of each other despite both their busy schedules.
