Life sentence for final suspect in Brittany Killgore's murder

By

The third and final suspect in the kidnapping and murder of Brittany Killgore last 2012 was finally sentenced to two consecutive life terms without parole. Jessica Lyn Lopez together with Louis Ray Perez and Grace Marie Maraglino suffered the same fate.

It took the prosecutors six weeks of trial to battle it out at the Vista Superior Court and found out that the three suspects were practicing bondage, masochism, discipline, sadism, and was turning their fantasies into reality.

It was through a friend that Killgore met Perez while the husband was in a mission in Afghanistan. The Camp Pendleton Master Sergeant asked her if she can go with him on a dinner cruise. Knowing that Perez was in a relationship with pregnant girlfriend Mariglano, she refused the offer but was still persuaded since Perez offered her help to move out from her apartment.

Before anything else transpired, Killgore called and asked Mariglano if she was cool with it, and the latter approved. But shortly after she left with Perez, a friend received a text message from her asking for help. It was later found out by the prosecution that the victim was not willing to participate in any of their practices.

After four days, in a room at Point Loma Hotel, Lopez was found with a suicide note with injuries suggesting suicide. Later during the same day, the nude body of Killgore was found floating at Lake Skimmer in southwest Riverside County.

Kilgore's mother,Michelle Wrest wrote a letter which was read in the courtroom stating that she hopes that every day in jail will be miserable for them. She hopes that God will forgive them because she definitely cannot. Shortly after the sentence was given, Perez addresses his family and friends, thanking them for their support during this trying times.
