Blizzard Entertainment is ready to release patch 2.4.0 this week for PC and consoles before the official kick off of Diablo III Season 5. In fact, the game developer already shared details of what the patch contains.
Patch 2.4.0 will be released prior to the start of Diablo III new season. Ubergizmo claimed that the patch will be available to PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One. This was confirmed by Diablo III community manager Brandy 'Nevalistis' Camel.
According to her, the start of new season for Diablo III is on January 15. They will release the patch before the start of season 5. She further said that they cannot provide exact release date for patch because 'dates can always shift if they run into technical issues," the source cited Nevalistis.
Ubergizmo learned that the Diablo III latest patch adds new elements to the game such as new rifts to delve into and different zone called Greyhollow Island.
Express pointed out that the possible date release of Diablo III patch 2.4.0 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One will be on January 12, three days before the new season starts.
The source explained the latest patch of Diablo III introduce Greyhollow Island, a new area limited for adventure mode. Greyhollow Island is said to be located at the coast of Westmarch, detach from developed civilizations of the Sanctuary. The place was once the center of grand empire but for strange reason, it shrunken placing a curse behind.
Aside from the new area to explore, the Patch 2.4.0 brings set items revisions, empowered rifts and new set dungeons as posted to the Diablo Official Site.
The legendary set items of heroes will boast new and improved abilities. Set Dungeons will open the mystical doors around the Sanctuary and the 'challenges that lie within will take planning, guile, and dedication to conquer.' Meanwhile, the Empowered Rifts will allow gold to enhance Legendary Gems with additional levels of power.
Diablo III is a hack and slash roleplaying game created by Blizzard Entertainment. Diablo III Season 5 will commence on January 15, 2016.
