New Year Resolutions: The Most Popular for 2013?

Every year on Dec 31, people around the world make a single or a number of resolutions that they look to fill for the coming year. So the same goes for 2012, as people bid farewell to 2012, here are some of popular goals people set for 2013:

1) Lose Weight/ Become Healthy - Losing weight or aiming for a healthier lifestyle is one of the most popular resolutions for men and women across the globe. While many want to shed the pounds others want to change habits in order to develop a healthy routine. Some people resolve to make these changes through joining a gym or exercising, while others decide to eat healthier. Regardless of the method, weight and health is at top of list for resolutions for 2013.

2) Money Issues: Given the tough economy, not just in America, but around the world, many people are resolving to pay out debts or manage their earnings more carefully or save more funds for the future.

3) Employment: The country is still battling a high employment rate, Still there are a number of people who are employed, but are very unhappy with their jobs. According to various online surveys, including CNN and USA.gov, many people want to find a better job in 2013. And many of those who unfortunately remain unemployed have resolved to find employment.

4) Positive Attitude and Feeling Happy: Trying to think positive and develop a positive attitude towards life is another top resolution for 2013. For many people, the past year has been difficult with tough economic times, natural disasters such as hurricane Sandy and other such problems that life tend to throw in your way. For 2013, many people have decided to keep a positive attitude, focus on things and people that make them happier.

According to USA.gov the popular New Year resolutions for 2013 are: Drink less alcohol, eat healthier, get a better job or education, lose weight, manage debt, battle stress, quit smoking, recycle, save money, take a trip, and volunteer.
