Excitement is being hold for Scalebound fans as the game's debut date is pushed to next year. Game developer explains what causes the delay.

Christian Today published in their site the announcement of PlatinumGames as the game developer decided to move the launching date of Scalebound from this year to 2017. Game developer guaranteed the fans that the development process of Scalebound is going well and is near its completion. The extra time will be used to polish the game mechanics and game features.

The source describes Scalebound as action role-playing game that features Drew. The young man will go into battle with Thuban, the dragon.

Digital Trends confirmed that PlatinumGames pushed the release date of Scalebound to 2017.

The site also quoted PlatinumGames saying: "In order to deliver on our ambitious vision and ensure that Scalebound lives up to expectations, we will be launching the game in 2017. This will give us the time needed to bring to life all the innovative features and thrilling gameplay experiences that we have planned."

The team assured the fans that the progress of the game is thriving, the site added. They labeled Scalebound as 'a truly special project' and one of the biggest games they ever created.

Scalebound is an epic adventure filled with exploration and fantasy gameplay, inventive multiplayer, and action-packed battles on an unbelievable scale - all set in a beautiful and evolving world. The game was announced at E3 in 2014 introducing Hideki Kamiya serves as the game's director, with PlatinumGames veterans Atsushi Inaba and Jean-Pierre Kellams handling producer duties, Digital Trends noted.

The delay is not new to next gen consoles especially to Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The delays increase players' expectations to better graphics, gameplay and story with each title, said Tech Times.

Scalebound is an Xbox One exclusive to be released in 2017.
