The tablets seem to be a popular item on the 2012 holiday gift lift. The market seems inundated with a number of choices from Apple's iPad or iPad Mini, Samsung's Galaxy Tablet, Microsoft's first tablet ever - Surface, Google's Nexus 7 and Amazon's Kindle Fire and HD.
As Cyber Monday, comes to end, various electronics stores such as Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart et al are all offering heavy discounts on the tablet.
The largest e-commerce retailer, Amazon.com is offering a great discount on its popular tablets. Amazon started with its Black-Friday deals a day before Thanksgiving and continued to offer deals throughout the weekend. The popular e-reader, Amazon's Kindle is one of the hot marked down items: the 6" basic black/white Kindle is selling for $69.99, while the Kindle Fire is selling for $129.99 and the Kindle Fire HD is selling for $199.
