Rocket League New Content, Modes, DLC and Arenas Confirmed for 2016; Xbox One Version Arrives Next Month

Game developr Psyonix has expressed thanks to all Rocket League fans this Holiday season as the massively popular soccer video game is nearing a total of 9 million players across the world to date. This new milestone indeed proves it further that the title is among the best game releases in 2015 and is confirmed to arrive on Xbox One consoles next month.

Via PlayStation Blog, Psyonix has announced and shared this awesome news on Rocket League recently making it to having 9 million players globally. In addition, the developer has revealed that the game will be packed this 2016 with "new content, new modes, new DLC, new Arenas, and plenty of other cool things to keep you coming back", reports Techno Buffalo.

Also, another good news comes to Xbox One gamers as the highly acclaimed vehicle soccer video game which was first made available for PS4 and PC is now confirmed to launch on Microsoft's current gen console next month. According to Tech Times, on top of the 16 battle cars, Rocket League for Xbox One will include 'HogSticker', a version of Halo's Warthog and the 'Armadillo' from Gears of War. The game's DLC packs and special customization items featured in Sony's console release will also come with the game.

This availability of Rocket League on Microsoft's console was confirmed back in August 2015 by Psyonix VP Marketing Jeremy Dunham where he divulged that the studio is in fact developing the title for other platforms.

"Yes, we are definitely bringing Rocket League to additional platforms. We'll have an official announcement of what platforms those are (and when) a little further down the line," Dunham stated.

Launched in July 2015 for PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PC, the arena-based game features single and multiplayer modes that can be played both online and offline.

Developed and published by Psyonix, Rocket League debuted on PS4 and PC in July 2015 selling more than 1.2 million copies within two-day launching. It comes with admirable single and multiplayer modes that makes the game playable online and offline. It serves as a sequel to 2008's Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars.
