New footages, posters, and announcements from CW are making fans of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" hunger in anticipation for its January 21 release. A new villain shows up, the Time Masters get into the action, and White Canary finds a lady love in 1950s America.
Screen Crush picks off a lot of details from the latest teaser released by The CW. Rip Hunter (Arthur Darville), who had recruited the motley band of heroes and anti-villains to form the Legends of Tomorrow, answers to bosses called the Time Masters. As the Time Masters are not thrilled about Hunter's fight against Big Bad Vandal Savage, expect a lot of infighting among the Time Lords. Screen Crush also mentions a Yahoo observation that another villain had appeared in an earlier teaser - Chronos who, in the comic books, is the time-traveling enemy of Atom, played in the series by Brandon Routh.
Entertainment Weekly poses a challenge of another kind to White Canary (Cathy Lotz). The recently resurrected Sara Lance finds herself unable to feel any emotion, until she is transported to 1950s America. The cold-blooded assassin who has an amnesia finds herself falling for a beautiful, intelligent nurse, played by Lindsay Carlisle (Ali Liebert), who is a closet lesbian. Coming out then would have been impossible, but time-travel might be able to help the lovers find a way.
To help viewers get into the universe of the show and acquaint themselves with the characters, TV Series Finale says that CW will air a 30-minute special, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow: The Time Is Now" on January 19, exploring the identities and origins of each character.
Aside from the characters previously mentioned, the current cast also includes Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), Jay Jackson (Franz Drameh), Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee), Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber), and Vandal Savage (Casper Crump).
"Legends of Tomorrow" will premiere on January 21 at The CW.
