Blockbuster movies, favorite TV series, clunky, cheesy flicks, eye-popping documentaries, and out-of-the-box originals - all these and more will be available via streaming video as Netflix announces what's coming to the screens of its subscribers in January 2016.
According to Den of Geek, action movie buffs who love their thrills can start their New Year with a bang by catching the following adrenaline-pumping films in Netflix by the first month of the year: Vin Diesel's mind-blowing road trips in 2 Fast 2 Furious (2013); Hugh Jackman's square-off against John Travolta in Swordfish (2001); Keanu Reeve's demon-battling hero, Constantine (2005); and Denzel Washington turning bad guy in the award-winning Training Day (2001).
Others who want a good laugh can tune in to Meet the Parents (2000), Meet the Fockers (2004), and Nanny McPhee (2006).
Meanwhile, Hollywood Reporter lists the TV series that Netflix will be broadcasting on January: the survivors struggling to fight alive in the zombie-infested world of Z Nation; love among the Millennials in the 4th season of New Girls; and suburban drama in Parks and Recreation Season 7.
Netflix also offers out-of-the-box viewing in its Originals series. As described by What's on Netflix, these include high school tweeners going through their own life cycles and crises in Degrassi: Next Class; comedian Chelsea Handler in her new talk show Chelsea Does; and the popular kids' toon Ever After High: Dragon Games. Sofia is another animated series for children that shows what does happen after happily-ever-after.
Netflix remains the top streaming video producer online as it continues to provide familiar favorites, groundbreaking shows, and pleasant time-passers for everyone who just wants to enjoy a good solid piece of entertainment. Some critics and subscribers alike have noted Netflix's assorted choices but this mix and the diversity it creates it more than a tad different from the usual selections offered by the traditional networks.
