PA’s 'Porngate': Contents of Email Scandal Revealed

Pennsylvania’s scandal involving inappropriate and offensive emails is continuing to become one of this year’s most-talked about controversy. Dubbed as “porngate”, reports claim that the contents of the email swapping are now revealed.

According to the Washington Post, PA Atty. General Kathleen Kane has released the offensive messages over the past 15 months. The discovery of the emails revealed state officials and employees trading “pornographic, racist, and misogynistic messages”.

The publication also learned that the topics on the jokes include: rape, sexual assault and photos which mocked African-Americans and other racial group. The decimating messages also insulted people based on their weight, sexual orientation and religious beliefs.

The report cited a sample of a photo showing a pantsless woman on her knees while performing oral sex on a man. Its caption reads: “Making your boss happy is your only job.”

Another image shows a white man fending off two African-American men as they carry a bucket of fried chicken. “BRAVERY At Its Finest”, reads the caption of the second evidence.

It also included an image showing a group of men having sex, and according to the report the sender included this message to friends: “How friggin gay are you?”

Kane uncovered the Porngate emails while her team was in the middle of investigating a child sex abuse scandal. However, Fusion reported that Kane’s own sister is among those who participated in the scandal.

Last week, Supreme Court Justice Donald Eakin has been suspended with pay due to his involvement with the exchange of emails. According to the Independent Journal, Eakin joins several other state officials who have been fired since the emails were first discovered. A cabinet officer and a fellow supreme court justice of Eakin have also resigned.

The growing evidence from this case is only expected to rise in the coming weeks. It is yet to be determined whether more state officials will be out of job by the time this scandal is over.
