Adele quits smoking, sugar, and alcohol for son

British songstress Adele has revealed she has given up cigarettes, sugar, and alcohol in order to live life fully for her three-year-old son Angelo.

Adele always had been honest about her relationship with nicotine saying it's her favorite thing to do, but the actress has recently revealed she gave up the habit. ET Online reported Adele is afraid to die from lung cancer. "I absolutely loved it, but it's not that f**king cool when I'm dying from a smoking-related illness and my kid is, like, devastated," said the British singer who shares her son Angelo with long-time boyfriend Simon Konecki.

ABC News reports that Adele smokes 25 cigarette sticks a day but said "If I'd carried on smoking, I'd probably have died from a smoking-related illness, and I think that's really bad." Other than that, the singer composer also takes into account that cancer runs in her family. Her father, Marc Evans, 53, had bowel cancer.

However, nicotine is not the only long time habit that Adele dropped. She used to drink ten cups of tea a day with two spoonfuls of sugar on each, making it twenty spoonfuls of sugar in a day. Health Aim reports that Adele made a wise decision since the daily recommended allowance for sugar consumption is six teaspoons or 24 grams for women.

Breaking her 10 cups of tea a day habit might also contributed to the fact that Adele shed off 20 pounds, but that's not all. Adele also revealed she decreased her alcohol consumption. "I used to be able to drink anyone under the table and still be able to put on an all-right show," said Adele. "But with kids, hangovers are torture. They just know. They pick up on it and just go for you."

Other than quitting smoking, drinking alcohol, and drinking tea altogether, Adele also said she's been hitting the gym regularly. She said she's not trying to get into size zero and that she doesn't enjoy going there. She did say she likes lifting weights.
