Samsung is expected to release new flagship devices in 2016, one of which is the Samsung Galaxy Note 6. The new phablet is rumored to feature the latest specs, and could also be a laptop hybrid if the Samsung patent rumor is true.

Despite the recent release of Note 5, several speculations have started on potential features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 6. According to Christian Today, the new phablet is rumored to be released with 6 or 6.2-inch display with 4K resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 could also be released with different variants of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. Other key features speculated to be housed in the new phablet is its wireless and fast charging at 10 percent per minute feature, as well as sensors such as compass, blood pressure, barometer, and heart rate sensor.

Its security features is also expected to be more innovative with not only a finger print scanner, but an iris scanner as well. But more than just a phablet, its functionality could also be extended into being a laptop as Value Walk reported that the device will be released with a phablet dock which will enable its small keyboard, and make it function like a laptop.

The dock will also switch the device from Android OS to Windows 10. The phablet is also rumored to be released with a 3.1 GHz 16-core processor which will enable it to function like an ordinary laptop. Aside from its possible laptop function, the device is also rumored to be released with a sophisticated rear camera at 30MP.

Furthermore, as reported by Tech Gadget Central, the device could be released with 4000mAh battery and Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. But with the advanced specs, its price tag is also likely to reflect the device's innovations. Like its schedule of release in the previous Note devices, Samsung is also likely to introduce the new flagship sometime in August or September.

Aside from the Samsung Galaxy Note 6, the South Korean company is also rumored to release Galaxy S7 as a flagship device but until a confirmation is released, these speculations must be treated with a grain of salt.
