Selena Gomez recently took home the "Chart-Topper of the Year" award from "Women in Music" event by Billboard for her latest album "Revival." The show aired on "Lifetime" last Friday where female artists are being named for their contributions in music.
Gomez was introduced by Paul Rudd whom she also worked with on "The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving." The "Same Old Love" singer then thanked her supporters who were there all the way since the beginning.
"I want to thank everyone for supporting me for not just this record but for all the times that I wanted to create something special and stumbling along the way, figuring out what my sound was," says the singer in her speech.
The singer also cited that her album "Revival" became one the major turning points in her career as a singer and humbly admitted that there still is a lot of room for improvement in her skills. "This album in particular was such a transition record for me, and I have so much still to prove and work on, but I would not be here if I couldn't do what I love without you guys."
Gomez did not forget to include her team in Interscope Records for "they completely gave me the freedom to do what I love, and I didn't really know what that was at first and they stuck with me for a year figuring out what that was."
Meanwhile, Gomez continues to tease the fans by releasing video clips for her newest single "Hands to Myself" and it looks like she is planning to completely rip off the cute Disney child star that people remember as she released a video earlier this month showing her taking off her black jacket to reveal her clad in coordinated lingerie to express a more provocative image to the 23-year-old artist.
The singer recently shared a new teaser video of her with a model named Christopher Mason playing boisterously together on a bed with the caption "Coming soon #HandsToMyself."
The sexy model is shown in dim lighting caressing Gomez's stomach while they lie on a soft black sheets completely giving off a "50 Shades of Grey" vibe.
The "Chart-Topper of the Year" Selena Gomez obviously wants the audience to see her as a mature woman and she plans to do just that by getting intimate with herself and Mason on her third single "Hands to Myself" released this Monday from her award-winning album "Revival."
