The famous writer of Disney's live action of "Beauty and the Beast", director Evan Spiliotopoulos will also pen "Charlie's Angels" reboot. It was reported earlier that Sony announced that it will be Elizabeth Banks, more popularly known in her role as Effie Trinket from "The Hunger Games" franchise, will direct the movie.

The Greek-American screenwriter Evan Spiliotopoulos is famous for his script for films, such as "Hercules" featuring Dwayne Johnson, and "Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure". He will also be writing for the upcoming films like "The Huntsman Winter's War" starring Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Chastain, Charlize Theron and Emily Blunt. Coming Soon reported that Sony wanted him because he is great with action, silliness, grandiosity and indulgence which are the words needed for 'Charlie's Angels' reboot.

Besides from directing the film, Variety said that Elizabeth Banks will also be producing it through her Brownstone production company with producing partner Max Handelman. With her recent huge success for her directorial debut film for the box office hit "Pitch Perfect 2", Banks is expected to do great with this reboot film too.

Latinos Health reported that there are many rumors circulating that the British actress Emma Watson, famous for her role Hermione Granger in Harry Potter series, might be in the movie. However, the rumors were quickly dismissed as nearly impossible. Fans are still excited as to what is the next project for the famous actress after her "Beauty and the Beast".

"'Charlie's Angels' was a hit television series in the 1970s and turned into successful movies in 2000 and 2003 starring Hollywood A-listers Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu. It is about three female detectives who worked to solve cases for a mysterious benefactor named Charlie.

Sony is keeping its fingers crossed with this 'Charlie's Angels' reboot hoping for a success following both the director's and the writer's.
