‘Fifty Shades Darker’ filming begins Jan. 2016; Jamie Dornan talks shooting sex scenes with Dakota Johnson

'Fifty Shades Darker' lead actor Jamie Dornan revealed that filming the interview scene in the first film was tougher than filming intimate scenes. Co-star Dakota Johnson admitted that she wanted her character Anastasia Steele to be funnier in order to be relatable.

According to Movie News Guide, Dornan admitted that the interview scene in the first 'Fifty Shades of Gray' film put more pressure on him instead of the numerous intimate scenes with co-star Dakota Johnson. He said that that particular scene was the mainstream audience's first look of his famous Christian Grey and he had to make a good impression.

He admitted, "Anyone will tell you that sex scenes, regardless of the content of the film, are always a tricky experience and relatively uncomfortable. But I guess the scene that had for me personally the most pressure on it, was the interview scene."

Another article by International Business Times reported that Dornan expressed his enthusiasm over playing his BDSM-obsessed young entrepreneur again for a second time. It was previously stated that his real-life wife Amelia Warner has given him "no objection certificate" to return for 'Fifty Shades Darker' despite rumors that his character will have some full-frontal nudity. Principal photography for the sequel is scheduled to begin sometime in January 2016 and will be shot back-to-back with the third film in the cinematic adaptation.

Meanwhile, Johnson revealed that she wanted her character Anastasia Steele to be more relatable in the next movies stating that Ana had to be funnier in order to achieve this. According to Moviepilot, the 26-year old actress admitted that her on-screen persona needed to have a sense of humor.

This is because viewers can have difficulty relating to a woman lucky enough to be swept off her feet by a good-looking billionaire. She said, "If you can't laugh during a movie like that, you're f*cked. Literally. You need to have something that everyone can relate to."

'Fifty Shades Darker' is an upcoming drama-romance film directed by James Foley. It is scheduled to be released on February 10, 2017 and may begin principal photography on January 2016. It will feature the return of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson in the lead roles as Christian Gray and Anastasia Steele respectively.
