By

The second Presidential Debate will take place Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 9.00pm at Hofstra University in New York. The debate will be conducted in town-hall style and will be moderated by CNN Chief Correspondent Candy Crowley.

The debate will crucial to both candidates but particularly to president Obama, whose banal submissive performance received bipartisan criticism and resulted in the overwhelming victory of former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

According to the Washington Post, "Given President Obama's stinker of a performance the first time out - 71 percent of likely voters said Romney won in a new Washington post-ABC News poll - the pressure will be on the incumbent to show he has a pulse (and probably a bit more) tonight."

The two candidates will be asked questions on domestic and foreign policies. According to the Commissions of Presidential Debate, " The second presidential debate will take the form of a town meeting, in which citizens will ask questions of the candidates on foreign and domestic issues. The town meeting participants will be undecided voters selected by the Gallup Organization."
