Steve Jobs: Apple Honors Legendary CEO With Special Edition MacBook Pro Laptops

By

It has been exactly a year since Apple lost its iconic CEO Steve Jobs, in order to honor Jobs Uncover auctioned a special edition of the MacBook Pro with a laser-cutting outline of Jobs on the Apple symbol.

According to reports by CNET there are three laptops being auctioned on Uncover's website eBid at a starting price of approximately $12,368.42. The laser cut Apple Emblem with Jobs profile was designed by artist Jonathan Mak from Hong Kong.

The website reports that the special edition laptop is engraved with a famous quote from Jobs: "When you grow up you, tend to get told that the world is the way it is and your life is just to live your life inside the world, try not to bash into the walls too much, try to have a nice family, have fun, save a little money. That's a very limited life. Life can be much broader, once you discover one simple fact, and that is that everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you. And you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use. Once you learn that, you'll never be the same again."

Jobs lost his battle to cancer on October 5, 2011. He was 56-years old. The current CEO for Apple Inc. is Tim Cook.
