The NYPD dropped all four charges against 25-year-old Christian LaBella, who was charged with assaulting actress Lindsay Lohan. On Sunday, LaBella was released from jail shortly after being taken into custody for assaulting Lohan.
According to the claims, Lohan and LaBella met at a New York City night club. LaBella joined Lohan in room on the 15th floor at the W hotel on Union Square in Manhattan. LaBella allegedly took pictures of the 26-year-old and when she confronted him, he allegedly threw her on the bed and assaulted her. After which, Lohan ran out of the room, pulled the fire-alarm and called on hotel authorities to have the man arrested.
LaBella was charged on two counts of misdemeanor for assault and two counts of harassment. However, the NYPD claimed that the charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence.
Lohan is apparently very upset with the decision. Steve Honig, Lohan's spokesperson told the New York Daily News, "There is no question that Lindsay was assaulted,"
Lohan's father also had something to say in the matter. Michael Lohan told the WonderWall.msn.com, "Wait 'til I get this guy."
Lohan's movie on the life of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton is scheduled to premiere on Lifetime on November 25 at 9.00pm ET according to new reports by InsideTV.ew.com. The film stars New Zealand born actor Grant Bowler as Richard Burton. The 44-year-old is known for his roles in ABC's Ugly Betty and Blue Heelers. Bowler has also hosted The Amazing Race Australia.
