On Tuesday, Los Angeles County coroner's office said that the investigation into the death of "Top Gun" director, Tony Scott might take as long as weeks. Authorities say that they are still lacking on evidence to determine whether the cause for Scott's jumping off the bridge had anything to do with reports of incurable brain cancer.
A preliminary autopsy was conducted on Monday according to authorities, who are still waiting for results from various other tests, including a drug test.
Police, however, confirm to People Magazine, that a suicide was discovered in Scott's office in addition to a list of contacts in his black Toyota Prius. L.A. Coroner Assistant Chief Ed Winter confirms there was "a note in his car with some contact names on it. ... Sometime later, some of his friends located a suicide note at his office," as reported on people.com.
