On Thursday, Samsung's Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet made its way to stores after a glamorous New York City launch on Wednesday.
The tablet is available in white and dark gray. The prices start from $499 for the 16GB tablet and $549 for 32GB.
Ian Paul at PC World said of the device, "If you're in the market for a new tablet that's not the iPad, then the Note 10.1 might be the tablet for you," according to pcworld.com.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 is currently available at all major technology and electronic stores such as Amazon, Best Buy, Tiger Direct, HH Gregg, CDW, BrandSmart, Conn's and Fry's.
According to PC World the tablet has received mixed reviews where some are calling it a "solid performer with wide-reaching appeal," while others are saying that the product "disappointing and overstuffed with features," as reported by pcworld.com
According to tomshardware.com the most interesting feature is the multiscreen feature. According to the Tim Baxter, President, Samsung Electronics America, "Our goal with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 was simple - redefine the tablet experience," as reported by tomshardware.com
Reports on the sales of the tablet will be out soon to truly determine how well the tablet has performed in the market.
Currently Samsung is in litigation with Apple over patent infringement over tablet designs. In 2011, Apple filed suit against the South Korean Tech mogul Samsung Electronics Co. over patent issues and intellectual property rights regarding Apple's highly popular smartphone iPhone and computer tablet iPad. Apple claims that Samsung's smartphones and tablets are knock-offs of its designs.
