Drummer for Ted Nugent Caught Driving Drunk in a Golf-Cart

By

BANGOR, Maine.- Although there is nothing comical about driving drunk, one can't help but pass a slight chuckle at Ted Nugent's drummer, Mick Brown, who was arrested for driving a stolen golf cart under the influence and thinking that he could out speed the police with the go-car.

Police arrested the 55-year-old, who was driving a stolen golf-cart drunk on the footpaths of the Bangor Pavilion, Maine. Brown had reportedly stolen the vehicle at his concert venue Sunday night. The police arrested him for driving under the influence, theft and reckless driving. He was taken into the police station at Bangor, Maine, but was released shortly afterwards on a $4,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on the 15th of August

"As (officers) attempted to stop Brown, he accelerated past them, past a third officer and when a security officer got close enough to stop him, Brown allegedly shoved the officer...At that point two other security officers physically removed Brown from the cart and placed him on the ground," as reported by MSNBC.

Brown is a drummer for the famous and out-spoken conservative singer Ted Nugent, who rose to fame as the lead guitarist of the Amboy Dukes. Reports suggest that after a concert Sunday night at the Bangor Pavilion that featured other music-names such as Styx and REO Speed wagon, Brown committed the alleged theft. No one was injured during the reckless driving.
