There are reported rumors that Apple is planning on advancing the launch of the iPhone 5 by three months in light of the highly successful sales of the Samsung Galaxy S3, if the reports are true that would mean the iPhone 5 will be released in August as opposed to November 2012. Rumors broke out last week, however this week there seems to an increased number of tech websites that have joined in consensus that Apple will, in fact, release its much talked about iPhone 5 in August.
It is to be noted however, that Apple has never officially announced even the creation of iPhone 5, yet the rumors of its release are the talk of the world and seem conclusive in suggesting that Apple is moving the release date of the smartphone to August instead of November in light of the highly successful sales of Samsung's Galaxy. Apple is currently in litigation with the South Korean company over patent issues. On Wednesday Apple implemented a court injunction that banned the sales of the Galaxy Nexus.
Last week, Samsung lost its second pre-trial injunction with Apple. Samsung lost. The company's Nexus Galaxy was imposed with a pre-trial ban. Samsung has repealed the injunctions at the Federal Court of Appeals in Washington. However, the ban does not apply to the sales of Galaxy 10.1 II and stores are permitted to sell the Galaxy 10.1 that they possess in stock. Samsung Spokesperson told Washington Post that the ban would not have a "significant have a significant impact on our business operations." The case is due in court later this month.
It's been a busy week for Apple, adding to the Apple humdrum is rumor that Apple plans to launch a tablet smaller than its iPad very soon.
Rumors are floating of Amazon's entrance into the battle of the smartphones. Friday, Business International leaked that the retail mogul will be releasing a smartphone of its own around the same time the iPhone is said to go on shelves.
