It's been a busy week for Apple, with massive speculation on its launch of the iPhone5 and its lawsuit with Samsung over the Samsung Galaxy S3 as well as Samsung Nexus tablet, adding to the Apple humdrum is rumor that Apple plans to launch a tablet smaller than its iPad very soon.
Wall Street Journal speculates that the tablet will be introduced in Asian markets as soon as September.
The new iPad is said to be 7 inches, which makes it 3 inches smaller than the current iPad model. Certain leaks are also suggesting that the new and smaller iPad will cost much less than its current model.
However, as is true with most rumors there are enough people supplying evidence to support as well as destroy the circulations. Some Techies are reminding speculators that Former Apple C.E.O the late Steve Jobs once said, "This size (referring to the 10 inch iPad) isn't sufficient to create great tablet apps in our opinion...Apple's done extensive user testing on touch interfaces over many years, and we really understand this stuff...There are clear limits of how close you can physically place elements on a touch screen before users cannot reliably tap, flick or pinch them. This is one of the key reasons we think the 10-inch screen size is the minimum size required to create great tablet apps," as reported on CNN.
Jamie Condliffe at Gizmodo U.K. told CNN that "Fortunately, speculation that the device could be launched by the end of year fits with the Apple's usual October iPhone announcement - so you might not have to wait too long to find out."
Last week there have conclusive rumors that Apple is moving the release date of the iPhone 5 to August instead of November in light of the highly successful sales of Samsung's Galaxy. Apple is currently in litigation with the South Korean company over patent issues. On Wednesday Apple implemented a court injunction that banned the sales of the Galaxy Nexus.
