Tony Park Sues NYC Club Over Eye Injury

By

New York. - NBA star Tony Parker, just filed suit against a New York City Club for an eye injury he says he incurred during a fight between singer Chris Brown and rap star Drake's entourage. Parker claims that he suffered a scratch to his retina during the brawl and is suing the club for $20 million.

The San Antonio spurs' guard has filed suit Thursday in the New York Supreme Court in Manhattan against the W.i.P New York Night Club in Soho. He claims that the club was irresponsible and lax in its security which allowed the fight to take place and resulted in Parker's "corneal laceration of the left eye and other injuries," as reported by the New York Post. He is currently undergoing treatment for the injury.

The fight between Brown and Drake's crew took place this week when Brown was stopped by Drake's entourage, angry words were exchanged which soon escalated into a full-fledged fight that involved throwing bottles around the club injuring at least eight people. Both Brown and Drake have had a romantic attachment to singer Rihanna, which is cited as the underlying cause of belligerence and animosity between the two.

Parker does not mention the either Brown or Drake in his petition. According Parker's lawyer David Jaroslawicz, "the defendants were reckless, careless and negligent in permitting Drake's entourage and Brown's entourage to be in the club the same time despite known tension between the two.... She (Rihanna) has been known, like Helen of Troy, to cause trouble," as reported on MTV.
