Canadian Porn star will not fight extradition

BERLIN, Germany.- Canadian porn star Luka Rocco Magnotta, who is being charged with murdering and dismembering a classmate, told the Berlin courts today that he will not oppose extradition to Montreal.

Magnotta, 29, is said to be a porn star who participated in bisexual porn videos online. He is being accused of the gruesome killing of a Chinese classmate, cutting up the body parts and then sending these body parts (including a leg and hand) to various political parties through mail in Montreal. Investigators also claim that Magnotta had eaten some of the victim's body parts.

Magnotta had fled to Paris, France and then to Berlin, Germany. The capture of Magnotta was a huge victory for police enforcement. According the Montreal Gazette, the police Commander of Montreal, Ian Lafrenière, called the search for the alleged killer "the biggest in the Montreal force's history." The search has since involved Interpol and 30 investigators from France's national fugitive search unit.

Magnotta was arrested yesterday when an employee in a Berlin cyber café recognized him from the newspapers and ran to the street to holler a police van. The man was positive identified as the suspect and immediately arrested.

Today Magnotta told the Berlin court that he will not fight his extradition from Germany, as reported by BBC News.

The Canadian authorities are working with those of Germany to speed up the process of transferring Magnotta back to Montreal where he will be trialed for the alleged killing.

The Victim, Lin Jun was 33 years old and was attending a University in Canada for engineering and computer science.
